i have decided to write the watchtower magazine myself and to realease it on the internet.

the wt and the gb by their association with the un disassociated themselves and are to be viewed as disfellowshipped.

in view of that they are no more eligible than me to write the watchtower.

So not trying to get into a big thing here, but honestly, the UN thing just never really did it for me. I think it was poor decision making, but being an NGO doesn't make you an affiliate. it hink its a stretch and most JW's would have a very easy time shrugging it off.
Maybe so, but at the same time this hypocritical, thinks it's the only true religion organization was condeming anybody who even thought about going to the YMCA just for the exercise part of it. Also, any individual JW's who had any kind of U.N. card would have been DF'd.

It only matters.........if you are in front of a JC for apostacy and it is the "loyalty test question".

Alex got caught up in believing the Jehovah's Witness religious teachings. Thinking he could soon quit his good paying job and enter the full-time pioneer service became an obsession for him. He became ever more engrossed in studying various Watchtower publications and prophetic predictions.
Using his life savings and money borrowed from his home equity, he reasoned that investing in the stock market could be a get rich quick way to pioneer, and bought stocks that analysts predicted would quickly rise in value. Instead, they dropped sharply. "I was determined to get my money back, " Alex relates. "I felt that if I just held on, the stocks would come back up and I could pioneer."
For months, Alex could think of little else, but how he was going to be able to pioneer now. He found it difficult to focus on spiritual matters. Eventually, Alex became disillusioned with the JW religion and the pressure they put on people to pioneer. But his stocks never rebounded. Alex lost his entire life savings and had to sell his house. None of the JW's that pressured Alex to find a way to pioneer offered any financial assistance at all in his family's time of need.
"I caused my family great pain," he admits. But Alex learned an important lesson. "I now know that anyone who puts his trust in the Watchtower Society will be profoundly disappointed."

You wouldn't believe the shit & dirty looks I would catch from people in this crazy cult while just trying to be a young investor.
The WT$ is full of hypocrisy and the R&F are too mind controlled to see it.

Did Russell Believe Anything Witnesses Do Now?

this weeks wt study got me thinking as to if there was anything major that pre 1914 bible students believed that would be accepted by modern day witness.. as far as i can tell, they throught:.

1 - the last days had started in 1799.

2 - christ's presence had stated in 1874.

I haven't done the research, but I would think that only Russell's teachings of no Trinity, no Hellfire & soul sleep remain as core doctrines of JW theology. There may be others...idk. You can add to your list above that Russell believed in the Cross.

SAD news about OOMPA......

just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

My goodness...this is terrible. So sad. He seemed like a good guy. R.I.P. brother.

i'm visiting my son and we got on the topic of me raising him in the jw's.

i apologized and told him at the time i thought it was the right thing to do, but that i got them out before it was too late.

he assured me it was only a matter of time before he would have left the religion.

Just walking by me on the desk PC all he would see is Jehovahs-Witness.Net at the top, and just assume I was on a pro-JW site. I told him about the pro-JW history and that the site is now anti-JW. (LOL) I plan on having more discussions will him on TTATT.
